Metal stakes of 12 feet in length to support the structure of solar panels are pushed seven feet into the ground. This work is done with a pile driver machine by a German company Eurosol on Chievres Air Base, Chievres, Belgium, May 15, 2014. With 1,842 solar panels and 451 kilowatt peak power, this infrastructure could cover a quarter of the air base's needs. (U.S. Army photo by Pascal Demeuldre/ Released)
