Coast Guard Station New York and Coast Guard Sector New York responded to the 55-foot SeaStreak ferry, Ocean State, that ran aground near Jamaica Bay, N.Y., at approximately 12 p.m., May 28, 2014. All passengers onboard were safely offloaded onto an FDNY vessel and transported to the pier at Beach 116th Street in Rockaway Park, N.Y., with no injuries reported.
