The San Diego Padres mascot, the Swinging Friar, greets Marines and sailors with 3rd Battalion, 4th Marines, 7th Marine Regiment, during their appearance at a military appreciation ceremony at a San Diego Padres baseball game at Petco Park, Sunday. Sailors from the USS San Diego and drill instructors with soon-to-be Marines from Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego were also present.
