Lance Cpl. Kade Young, Lance Cpl. Benjamin Armbruster, Lance Cpl. Christian Embry, Lance Cpl. Seth Logston, Cpl. Noah Bratcher and Lance Cpl. Chandler Couch, infantrymen with 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, Marine Rotational Force – Darwin receive the top ten percent award in front of all of the Marines and Australian Soldiers that participated in the Fire Team Leaders’ Course over the past two weeks aboard Robertson Barracks, Australia, May, 31, 2014. The course tested a variety of basic infantry skills while demanding communication and teamwork from every fire team. The rotational deployment of U.S. Marines affords an excellent combined training opportunity with Australian Defence Force, and improves interoperability between both forces.
