Scott Miller, from Philadelphia, is cooled off by Sailors from Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron Light 42, Detachment 1, aboard the guided-missile cruiser USS Vella Gulf after completing 1,000 logged hours of flight time. Vella Gulf is deployed as part of the Iwo Jima Expeditionary Strike Group supporting maritime security operations in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
