ALI BASE, Iraq - Secretary of the Air Force Michael W. Wynne congratulates Col. Samir, commander of Iraqi air force Squadron 23 (Transport) on the accomplishments of his squadron over the past year. The squadron flew its first solo mission (no advisory support team members from the 777th EAS on board) Nov. 29. Secretary Wynne called the accomplishments and the mission something that Iraqi's and their Air Force trainers can be proud of. The secretary commemorated the visit with the gift of a coin to the Iraqi Colonel Samir (full names and faces of Iraqi airmen are not releasable). (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt.
