Paratroopers from the 173rd Airborne Brigade met with a French family for dinner in Carentan, France, June 3. Local families from the Norman communities of Sainte Mere Eglise, Carentan and Picauville hosted hundred of American, Dutch and German service members in their homes for a family-style meal at the beginning of the week-long commemoration of the 70th anniversary of D-Day at the invitation of the French government.
