An original World War II parachute covers a plaque at the Franquetot’s castle here, June 7, 2014. The ceremony was held to dedicate a plaque to memorialize pilots of the 358th Fighter Group who helped liberate France during World War II. The event was one of several commemorations of the 70th Anniversary of D-Day operations conducted by Allied forces during World War II June 5-6, 1944.
