World War II veteran, 102-year-old Arthur Pesotine, receives his diploma as part of the West Scranton High School D-Day commemoration ceremony June 6, 2014. Pennsylvania Army National soldiers from the 55th Armor Brigade conducted the 21-gun salute and raising of the flag. Brig Gen. John Gronski, 28th Infantry Division commanding general, delivered remarks and participated in a graduation ceremony for war veterans who never received their diplomas as a result of their military service.
