Members of the 464th Transportation Company, Fort Belvoir, Va., lower a ramp on the bow of their Landing Craft Mechanized boat during the Quartermaster Liquid Logistics Exercise at Fort Lee, Va., June 13. Incorporating amphibious Army watercraft is a first for the annual, nationwide exercise that trains Army Reserve Soldiers in handling and transporting fuel and water. The 464th worked with water purification specialists, transporting their equipment to inland-waterway sites, where they trained to rapidly deploy and purify and distribute water from local sources, as they would do in a disaster-relief effort.
