Airman 1st Class Richard Fails from the 380th Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Squadron monitors the rate of fuel going into a KC-10 Extender here. The average fuel transfer rate is 600 gallons per minute. The KC-10s out of the 380th provide fuel to different types of aircraft in the area of responsibility in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom. Airman Fails is deployed from the 660th AMXS, Travis Air Force Base, Calif., his hometown is Annapolis, Md.
