John R. Claffey, standing, teaches a class June 11 on Camp Foster about financial management tactics service members and their spouses can make before, during, and after retirement from active duty. Claffey is a Bloomington, Louisiana, native who also covered other programs, such as general benefits, health and burial options. The transition assistance management program is offered eight times a year and recommended for all service members and their families prior to the service members’ retirement.
