A tank crew member from 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, remotely fires an initial round from his assigned M1A2 Sep V2 Abrams tank during live-fire operations for exercise Combined Resolve II at the U.S. Army Joint Multinational Training Command's training grounds in Grafenwoehr, Germany, June 10, 2014. This is the first time the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, has performed gunnery training with the European Activity Set. The EAS is a battalion-sized group of armored vehicles and equipment prepositioned at the U.S. Army's Joint Multinational Training Command in Grafenwoehr to support and outfit U.S. Army rotational forces' abilities to train and perform contingency missions while in Europe.
