United Kingdom Group Captain N.J. Hay, middle, commanding officer, 903 Expeditionary Air Wing, Royal Air Force, reads a certificate of commendation from the unit during a ceremony aboard Camp Bastion, Helmand province, Afghanistan, June 17, 2014. Marines with CRASH 5, Marine Wing Support Squadron-274, Regional Command (Southwest), received certificates of commendation for assisting U.K. forces while responding to an emergency. The citation reads, “The crew of CRASH 5 are a credit to their country and to the United States Marine Corps. Their actions demonstrate the special bond that exists between British and American forces wherever they serve together.”
