U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Anthony Cook, 233rd Security Forces Squadron (233rd SFS), Colorado Air National Guard, is assisted to the ground after participating in a voluntary exposure to the Taser X26 conducted electrical weapon (CEW) at Airburst Range, Fort Carson, Colo., May 5, 2014. The 233rd SFS Airmen are encouraged to participate in voluntary exposure to the CEW to gain a greater understanding of the way the Taser X26 uses neuromuscular incapacitation to temporarily override the command and control systems of the body to impair muscular control and disable even the most aggressive subjects without the use of deadly force.
