Second Lt. Toni Walker. Officer-in-Charge of the Cairo medical site of Innovative Readiness Training exercise Southern Care 2014, walks the hall with her new friend Miracle, daughter of Terri Childs of Cairo, as they wait for a vision screening. Miracle would not let Walker, a Savannah, Ga. native and a member of the 810th Med. Co./49th MMB Charleston, S.C., out of her sight while waiting to be seen by the optometrist. The purpose of the civil-military program IRT SC14 is to improve military readiness while providing quality medical services at no cost to residents of Southern Illinois.
