A soldier at the 103rd ESC Physical Readiness Training (PRET) Camp at Fort McCoy, Wis., June 14-26, participate in a process known as Arms Immersion. The technique is used to instantly cool the soldier’s core temperature in order to prevent overheating and is used after every strenuous PRT session, or anytime the outside temperature reaches above 80 degrees. At the PRET Camp, soldiers received training on PRT, diet and nutrition, and injury prevention. About 180 soldiers attended the 14-day camp in order to better their overall physical fitness levels.
