Marines and sailors with Black Sea Rotational Force 14.2, from 3rd Battalion, 8th Marines, conducted an amphibious exercise with the Romanian 307th Naval Infantry Battalion. The exercise included a beach reconnaissance, landing and securing a beach, a rowing competition, patrol base operations, land navigation and field craft skills. Black Sea Rotational Force 14 is a contingent of Marines in the Black Sea, Balkans, and Caucasus regions that maintain proven partnerships, build military capacity, promote regional stability, and provide the capability for rapid crisis response as directed by U.S. European Command and U.S. Marine Corps Forces Europe and Africa.
