Spc. William Carpenter, from the 253rd Engineer Battalion, performs lifesaving techniques on another Soldier to show his knowledge of combat life-saving standards during the first day of the unit’s “Engineer Challenge,” the first of its kind in this unit. Soldiers were tested on basic warrior tasks and combat engineer skills, as a part of their annual training at Florence Military Reservation, June 19-20.
