Lieutenant Col. Jamie Macias leads Marine Wing Communications Squadron 28 on a motivational run as the culminating event for the inaugural Spartan Cup at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C., June 19, 2014. The Spartan Cup is designed to inspire competitiveness within the squadron, build esprit de corps and achieve balanced excellence. At the conclusion of the run, Macias announced Company B is the first to receive the Spartan Cup. Macias is the commanding officer of MWCS-28. The squadron plans to continue this ongoing competition crowning a winner semi-annually.
