Medal of Honor recipient Cpl. Kyle Carpenter visited the Wounded Warrior Battalion East aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, N.C., June 27. Carpenter spent time talking with wounded Marines and gave them words of encouragement. Carpenter's visit to the base is his final stop on a one-week tour to military installations across the United States, since receiving the Medal of Honor. Carpenter said he could not imagine ending the tour any other way than with the Marines based at Camp Lejeune. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. Austin Long)
