Soldiers with the 1st Squadron, 82nd Cavalry, 41st Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Oregon Army National Guard, Staff Sgt. William Michels, from Portland, Oregon, left, Spec. Ryan Simmons, from Redmond, Oregon, 2nd left, and 1st Lt. Michael Gallagher, from Portland, Oregon, right, and Spec. Nina Collins, from Laredo, Texas, 3rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, 2nd right, were lauded for a quick resolution to network outages that resulted during a recent switch upgrade. Gallagher received a directorate coin from Col. John Dorney, director, Directorate of Mobilization and Deployment, and the remaining team members were presented with certificates of appreciation, Jul. 1.
