A U.S. Marine with second platoon, India Company, 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, adjusts his night vision device while standing watch in a company-level defense. Marines and their foreign partners experimented with seabasing operations on a company level during Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) Exercise 2014. Traditionally, landing teams operated on a battalion level, but the Company Landing Team aimed to keep forces supplied 24 hours at a time across the area of operation from sea.
