Soldiers from 2nd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division and about 170 Republic of Korea army personnel including its special warfare command soldiers conducted training at the National Training Center on Fort Irwin, Calif. The combined training is the first time in history that the ROK army has executed combined tactical training in the continental U.S. The training lasted from June 9 through July 1 and consisted of terrain walk and marksmanship, a ROK-U.S. small unit exercise in which they train for an attack and defense using opposing force, and an after action review during the last week.
