Soldiers assigned to the Army's 341st Multi Role Bridge Company use MK2 Combat Support (bridge) boats and float rafts to help Seabees assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 27 place an incursion barrier in the Euphrates river. The Army assisted the Seabees of NMCB 27 in a joint service small craft incursion barrier project located on the Euphrates River near the city of Husaybah in western Iraq. The Seabees of NMCB 27, also known as the 'Skibees", homeported in Brunswick, Maine, are deployed to Iraq and other areas in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. The tasking of the Seabees is to conduct Marine Expeditionary Forces directed construction projects for Marines and other units operating in al-Anbar province.
