Cpl. Cory Paradine, a Kings Park, N.Y., native and anti-tank missile man with 2nd Tank Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, received the Purple Heart Medal during a ceremony aboard Camp Lejeune, N.C., July 23, 2014. Maj. Gen. James W. Lukeman, the commanding general of 2nd Marine Division, presented Paradine the medal during the ceremony and thanked him for his service.
