Spc. Flora Sasa, a member of Company C, Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, Iowa Army National Guard, directs traffic and assists in crowd control during the 56th presidential inauguration. Sasa, a naturalized U.S. citizen from Sudan, said she was honored to participate in this historic event. Iowa activated approximately 1,000 Soldiers from the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 34th Infantry Division, Iowa Army National Guard, and Airmen from the 185th Air Refueling Wing and 132nd Fighter Wing, Iowa Air National Guard to assist with inauguration security. Their duties included transportation and attendee management, traffic control, event ingress/egress, personnel support, and transportation.
