The 93D Military Police Battalion commander Lt. Col Richard J. Ball, receives one of the highest honors that can be bestowed upon a a military policeman: the Order of the Marechaussee, named after the Marechaussee Corps formed by Gen. George Washington at Valley Forge. Ball was awarded the honor just prior to a Change of Command and Change of Responsibility ceremony in which Ball relinquished his command to incoming Lt. Col.
