Chief Warrant Officer 3 Thomas Anspach (right), North Carolina assistant state training officer, dons his motorcycle equipment as he and assessors from the Raleigh Police Department assess riders enrolled in the Bike Safe program administered by N.C. Highway patrol in Raleigh, N.C., July 18, 2014. Anspach is the first N.C. Guardsman to graduate from this course. He and the motorcycle safety staff plan to host motorcycle education classes at Joint Force Headquarters and other locations in the state, free of charge. The course is designed to educate motorcycle riders about their situational awareness on the road and learn techniques and tips to enhance their motorcycle safety.
