It was the first time U.S. Army Europe forces had simultaneously trained in multiple geographical locations through a simulations network. The 16th Sustainment Brigade’s 106th Financial Management Support Unit is dispersed across Europe to support all Soldiers under U.S. Army Europe. Training as a physically consolidated unit means it would not only cost them travel funds and time, but it also meant that U.S. Army financial operations in Europe would shut down. Recently they partnered with the 7th Army’s Joint Multinational Simulations Center (JMSC) to pursue virtual training in preparation for future deployments and missions such as dispersing cash in combat zones.(U.S. Army photo illustration by 1st Lt.
