Staff Sgt. Michael Ortiz, a New York City native, assists Spc. Brooke Lindsey , a Kokomo, Ind., native, as he dons a medical kit bag during a dismounted patrol through urban areas of Baghdad, Jan. 24. Ortiz is an infantry squad leader and Lindsey is an infantry team leader. Both are assigned to Company B, 1st Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment "Wolfhounds," 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team "Warrior," 25th Infantry Division, currently attached to 3rd BCT, 4th Inf. Div., Multi-National Division – Baghdad.
