Corpsmen create realistic injuries on simulated casualties during a field training exercise June 26 at Camp Hansen. The scenario also involved corpsmen role playing as casualties to make the training event as realistic as possible. “The whole point of this training is to exhaust the body and mind to see how (the corpsmen) function under pressure,” said Petty Officer 1st Class Xiomara A. Azinge. “That’s exactly how it’s going to happen when they deploy.” Azinge is a hospital corpsman with Company B, 3rd Medical Battalion, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
