School-required immunizations are just one of the services that are provided at Operation Lone Star at six sites throughout the Rio Grande Valley region of South Texas, Aug. 4-8, 2014. Immunizations are available for both adults and children and are critical for preventing the spread of contagious diseases in vulnerable populations, such as children and seniors. Other services such as diabetes and vision screenings, health assessments and dental services are also available for the duration of Operation Lone Star. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt.
