Iraqi national policemen with the 1st Battalion, 3rd Abu Risha Brigade, attached to the 7th Brigade, 2nd National Police Division, pull security Jan. 29 at an intersection in the Saha Apartments located in the Rashid District of southern Baghdad, during polling site inspections by Iraqi security forces and Soldiers of the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Multi-National Division – Baghdad. Coalition forces, partnered with their ISF counterparts to maximize security efforts at more than 200 polling sites in southern Baghdad. Units like Troop C, 7th Squadron, 10th Cavalry Regiment, 1st BCT, 4th Inf. Div., doubled their patrols in the neighborhoods and communities to ensure that the elections occurred without incident.
