The display case at the newly renamed Major Michael L. Mundell U.S. Army Reserve Center containing personal items that belonged to Mundell and were donated by his family. On Aug. 3 the 81st Regional Support Command hosted a memorialization ceremony that dedicated the new building in Mundell's honor. Mundell was killed in Fallujah, Iraq, Jan. 5, 2007, while a member of a Military Transition Team advising the Iraqi army.
