Weeks, a Columbia, South Carolina native serving as a cannon crew member for Battery A, 4th Battalion, 319th Airborne Field Artillery Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade, sets a fuse on a 105 millimeter shell at Estonia’s Tapa training grounds July 22. Week’s battery was the first American artillery unit in Army history to conduct direct and indirect fire support training missions on Estonian soil in supporting Operation Atlantic Resolve, which includes combined training exercises with U.S., Polish, Estonian, Latvian, and Lithuanian military forces to foster interoperability and demonstrate a commitment to NATO obligations.
