Capt. Michael Dempewolf of Bellevue, Iowa, and commander of Company A, 1st Battalion, 133rd Infantry Regiment, ensures his Soldiers are ready to board aircraft in order to return from the field at Fort McCoy, Wis., Aug. 6. UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters extracted the troops after being in the field to train on basic infantry tasks. “The training focused on squad, platoon and company level tasks which helped to sharpen and refine soldiering skills,” said Dempewolf. All subordinate battalions of the 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 34th Infantry Division, were at Fort McCoy to complete their two-week annual training.
