U.S. Marine Lance Cpls. Daryl Reyes, left, and Jordan Encalade demonstrate the abilities of a military working dog Aug. 5 during a visit by Japan Self-Defense Force service members to the Provost Marshal’s Office on Camp Foster. During the demonstration, Reyes attempted to detain Encalade who was acting as a mock suspect. Encalade did not cooperate with Reyes’ orders, so Reyes released the dog to subdue the suspect. Reyes is a Miami, Florida, native and Encalade is a New Orleans, Louisiana, native. Both are military working dog handlers with PMO, Marine Corps Base Camp Butler, Marine Corps Installations Pacific.
