A soldier with the 212 MP Company, 167 Armored Battalion scans the eye of a cadet enrolling in the Iraqi Oil Protection Force program offered by the Northern Oil Company Regional Training Academy, Kirkuk, Iraq, Jan. 8, 2009. Over 200 cadets are enrolled in an eight week program offered by the Northern Oil Company and all must have their bio-metrics recorded to ensure their identities cannot be forged to gain access to the regions vital natural resources that they will be protecting.
