Local Iraqi media swarm Lt. Col. Eric C. Hastings, commanding officer of the 1st Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, and Col. Makhmud, Fallujah District chief of police, as they officially agree to hand over Entry Control Point 1 to Iraqi security forces. Although coalition forces will no longer man the control point, they are still on hand to support Iraqi forces.
