Command Sgt. Maj. William J. Payne, right, and his wife of 25 years, Beverly, renewed their marriage vows in a unique twist during a retirement ceremony at the 81st Regional Support Command at Fort Jackson, S.C., Aug. 10. The ceremony for Payne culminated his Army career at 39 years, one month and 19 days. Here, Payne kneels to propose again to his wife.
