Over 40 Soldiers, civilians and family members of the 81st Regional Support Command join over 2,800 others in the 4th Annual Run/Walk For The Fallen at Fort Jackson, S.C. on Aug. 16. The 5K event is meant to pay homage to those killed in battle in defense of the nation and many participants wear the name of a loved one on their runner's bib. Pictured here, Sgt. Class Joel Quebec runs with retired Navy Petty Officer 1st Class Richard Cole, a high school classmate whom he hadn't seen in 30 years. Quebec wore the names of four fallen Soldiers: Sgt. 1st Class Alwyn Cashe, Sgt. Myla Maravillosa, Staff Sgt. Marc Scialdo and Maj. Michael Mundell. Maravillosa was a personal friend and the others recently had Army Reserve centers named after them in the 81st RSC region.
