Gen. James F. Amos, assistant commandant of the Marine Corps, congratulates Lance Cpl. Javier A. Alvarez, a rifleman with the 1st Bn., 4th Marines, on his receipt of the Purple Heart medal during a ceremony aboard Camp Baharia in Iraq's Al Anbar province, Feb. 7. Amos' stop in Camp Baharia was part of a tour of Marine bases and outposts throughout western Iraq.
