Spc. Zachary Spencer, a carpenter and mason assigned to 234th Engineer Company, Oregon Army National Guard, molded and created this concrete statue for the 1st Squadron, 82nd Cavalry Regiment who is also part of the Oregon Army National Guard, and it now sits outside the Alamo barracks at McGregor Range, New Mexico. Both units are now deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
