Coffman, deputy commander of Marine Forces Command and commander of Marine Forces South, walk the aviation deck of the Chilean ship LSDH Sargento Aldea August 21, 2014, during a visit to the Marines of Marine Forces South, 1st Battalion, 23rd Marines, 4th Civil Affairs Group, 4th Marine Logistics Group and Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 364 in Valparaiso, Chile in support of Partnership of the Americas 2014. POA 14 is designed to enhance joint and combined interoperability, increase the combined capability to execute Amphibious Operations, Peace Support Operations, and Humanitarian Assistance/Disaster Relief missions, and further develop strong and lasting relationships the U.S. Marine Corps has established with partner nations' naval infantries/marine corps.
