Lt. Col. Ellen Moore, U.S. Spec Ops Command, holds a falcon during a falcon demonstration, at a cultural exchange event, Feb. 8, 2009, in an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia. The falcons are highly trained birds prized by local nationals and are able to fly and hunt by command. Colonel Moore is native to Cincinnati, Ohio, and is deployed from McDill Air Force Base, Fla., in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom and Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa.
