U.S. Army Pacific's 2014 Soldier of the Year Spc. Thomas Boyd salutes during the command sergeant major board portion of the Warrior Challenge competition. The four day competition, hosted at Schofield Barracks, pushed the Soldiers and noncommissioned officers through a variety of challenges, both mental and physical. The goal of the competition is to find the best, most well-rounded Soldier and noncommissioned officer in USARPAC to represent the command at the Department of the Army competition.
