Fire Controlman 3rd Class Kameron Huit tracks sub-surface contacts aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer USS Stethem (DDG 63) during Surface Ship Anti-Submarine Warfare Readiness and Effectiveness Measure, an exercise focused on the assessment of Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force and U.S. Navy's capability to conduct anti-submarine warfare (ASW) and assess ASW readiness and effectiveness. Stethem, assigned to Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 15, is forward deployed to the 7th Fleet area of operations supporting security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
