Naval Aircrewman (Helicopter) 2nd Class Melissa Dixon, from Leavenworth, Wash., and Chief Naval Aircrewman (Helicopter) Rich Andraschko, from Menominee, Wis., both assigned to Naval Air Station Whidbey Island's (NASWI) Search and Rescue unit (SAR) are hoisted into an MH-60S Knighthawk during a joint training event hosted by NASWI SAR. The event, including capabilities briefs, a static display of an MH-60S Knighthawk, and culminating in a training evolution recreating a recent incident, is meant to improve coordinated efforts NASWI SAR and the Skagit County Sheriff's Office.
