Toshio Shimabuku, center, addresses high school students participating in the Summer English Program Aug. 18 at the Legends Officers’ Club on Camp Courtney. During the first day of the six day program, the 29 students were divided into groups and given a list of questions and topics to discuss with the service members who volunteered to participate in the program. The students were given a tour of some of the facilities on Camp Courtney such as the Child Development Center, the library and Courtney Ironworks Fitness Center.
